Thanks to everyone who stopped by our ASLA Expo booth – we enjoyed catching up and look forward to working with you in the coming year! This year’s event in Chicago was a huge success. It was a bustling time at the F+S booth as friends old and new dropped by to say hello and explore our newest designs.

Avivo Tables and Chairs provided the perfect place for attendees to rest and relax, chat with members of the F+S team, or gather with clients and colleagues during the happy hour we hosted each day. Different configurations of both provided ample opportunity to see the line’s exciting breadth of material options: powdercoated aluminum, VividGlass, and our newest collection of responsibly sourced hardwoods: FSC® Recycled reclaimed Azobé (commonly known as Red Ironwood) repurposed from New York’s South Street Seaport.

 

Offering an eye-catching backdrop to the booth, partition walls with a variation of our Linq Woven Metal created verdant “living walls,” showcasing this year’s promotional give-away: biodegradable seed paper “leaves” that will grow edible basil or lettuce when planted. This non-standard option received extremely positive response. 

 

Bernard Jeanfils, Vice President of Marketing at F+S, said, “Interest in the blend of architectural surfaces with our outdoor products was huge this year.” He added, “Landscape architects seemed very interested in products that help make the transition between indoors and out.”

 

Also popular among booth visitors were our Rincon and Light Column LED Pathway Bollards, which were on display along with their taller bollard and pedestrian counterparts. 

 

Finally, our Augmented Reality app was once again a big hit at the show, wowing visitors and bringing them back with friends.
