Profile One™ Flight Information Display System

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International prides itself on being one of the world’s most user-friendly airports. Knowing that intelligible signage and easy-to-find information are major enhancements to the passenger’s experience, the airport is installing new Flight Information Displays Systems (FIDS) based on Forms+Surfaces’ Profile One™.

Profile One’s high-tech look and adaptable design make it ideal for the FID application. Shown here in Fort Lauderdale’s newly constructed car rental facility, Profile One masts were configured with arrays of large LCD monitors. Backer panels were supplied in Satin finish Stainless Steel; a tubular Stainless Steel bumper rail was also included. With all wiring concealed internally, the system presents a light, open appearance that engages passengers’ attention without seeming too imposing. And, because it’s derived from a modular group of components, the installation will be easy to expand or modify as needed to meet future requirements.
