With its convenient park-and-ride service,
the FlyAway bus gives San Fernando Valley residents an easy way to get
to and from LAX without having to take their cars. A major expansion
of the Van Nuys terminal included RS Seating and other amenities
provided by Forms+Surfaces.
The RS system’s comprehensive range of backed, backless and perch
benches was used to create a variety of indoor and outdoor seating
arrangements that all share a common aesthetic. Comfortable and
exceptionally durable, backed benches upholstered in top-quality
leather comprise the bulk of the interior seating. Backless and perch
benches with die-cast seats were ideal for indoor perimeter areas as
well as the outdoor bus stops. Unique to RS, the angled perch is
designed for short-term waiting in a semi-standing posture.
Stainless steel Universal litter receptacles and Buttler® ash urns top
off this beautiful installation. Encouraging even more LAX passengers
to leave their cars behind, the attractive new FlyAway terminal is
helping to reduce congestion, pollution and aggravation throughout the
greater Los Angeles area.
