Founded in 1892, St. James Church has undergone numerous rebuilds and modernizations over the years to meet the evolving needs of a growing parish. Recent upgrades to the church’s current building include this beautiful group of Metal Stile & Rail Doors provided by Forms+Surfaces.

Designed to present a warm, welcoming appearance at the main entrance, the doors were specified with stiles and rails in Fused Bronze and insets in our exclusive Bonded Metal®. The two center doors were fabricated in an unusually tall custom height for maximum visual impact. Secondary doors are a standard height with custom overhead transom panels. Complementing the doors’ rich color, our DP7500 pulls were specified in bronze with a deep oil-rubbed finish. All materials used are extremely durable and resistant to corrosion—an important consideration in this seaside locale. Encompassing both traditional and contemporary elements, the new doors at St. James are a fitting introduction to a church now embarked on its second century of service to the local community.
