Built, owned and managed by the Hutton
Foundation, the Community Cornerstone Center for Nonprofits was
created for the express purpose of housing multiple nonprofit entities
in a single location. The goal for this “under one roof” project is to
reduce rent expenses while also making it possible for tenants to
share resources such as office equipment, meeting halls and break room
facilities in order to offset many of the fixed costs associated with
running a nonprofit organization.
When selecting entry doors for Community Cornerstone, the architect
and owners agreed on their requirements: the doors must be able to
withstand the constant comings and goings of the many groups and
individuals that would frequent the building, yet must also comply
with the budget constraints of a nonprofit center. Metal Stile & Rail
Doors from Forms+Surfaces proved a perfect match. These doors provide
remarkable performance and a stunning architectural focal point for a
building which truly has become a cornerstone of the community.
