Urban Renaissance™ Receptacles with custom

Paseo style lids

Famous for sending robotic spacecraft to the outer planets of our Solar System, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory recently launched a more down-to-earth mission in search of site amenities for its Pasadena campus. Considering the Lab’s own reputation for engineering excellence, it’s not surprising that these technology experts chose Forms+Surfaces’ Urban Renaissance™ and Buttler receptacles.

Made from stainless steel with a powdercoat finish, the Urban Renaissance receptacle offered durability and corrosion-resistance far superior to the carbon steel products JPL had also considered. Receptacles were specified with a Vertical pattern grillwork and Evergreen Texture powdercoat. At JPL’s request, their receptacles were customized with our Paseo style lid for a subtler, more rounded appearance. To keep entryways and landscape areas free of discarded cigarettes, Buttler® ash urns were also chosen for the project. Litter receptacles may not be rocket science, but the rocket scientists at this world-renowned facility know good design when they see it.
