Located near Disneyland and the Anaheim
Convention Center, The Hyatt Regency Orange County needed standout
custom lighting suitable to a community noted for its high-profile
public spaces. Forms+Surfaces responded with a unique series of large
chandeliers for the hotel’s grand ballroom and with impressive
indirect pole fixtures for the lobby and atrium areas.
Designed to look as if they were flying overhead, the wing-like
chandeliers were fabricated from an assemblage of materials including
aluminum and translucent acrylic. The pole fixtures—made from aluminum
and steel—use a spotlight and special reflective shield for a dramatic
lighting effect.
