The largest urban redevelopment in the
United States, the Stapleton project is transforming Denver’s
abandoned 4,700 acre airport into a new, mixed-use community of family
homes, businesses, schools and ecology-oriented parklands.
Forms+Surfaces’ Copenhagen benches and Tivoli receptacles were chosen
for the development’s streetscapes and shared public areas.
The benches and receptacles work together beautifully in a setting
whose eclectic design blends historic Denver, High Plains natural
history and a new, progressive urbanism. Both products provide great
durability while their fan-like, botanically inspired shapes remind
residents of the green spaces this landmark project has reclaimed.
