Once an industrial
wasteland, University Park is now a 27 acre mixed-use complex with
facilities for leading biotech firms as well as loft apartments, a
hotel, day care center, green spaces and other amenities.
Forms+Surfaces supplied Leda benches for the park’s outdoor public
areas.
Leda was the perfect choice for a site that mixes high technology with
the historic architecture of old Cambridge. At once contemporary and
traditional, Leda looks towards the future while also paying quiet
tribute to time-honored designs of the past. Installed in a setting
that balances a diversity of uses and aesthetic sensibilities, Leda
was a seating solution that managed to please everyone.
