One of New York City’s most appealing
public spaces, Bryant Park has made an amazing comeback after years of
neglect and decay. Forms+Surfaces’ vast experience in signage and
custom fabrication was called into service to create informational
signs for placement at the park’s entrances and other areas. Part of
the renewal program that’s transformed the site so dramatically, the
new signage needed to communicate a feeling of freshness and rebirth
while also remaining true to the park’s original French classical
design. Park directors and visitors alike have all been extremely
pleased with the way the finished installation has turned out. Now, in
a place most New Yorkers were afraid to enter 20 years ago,
Forms+Surfaces signage welcomes citizens to an urban oasis that’s
become a focal point of civic pride in the mid-Manhattan area. |
