Constructed with sustainable materials,
the Technology Classroom Building on the Sylvania campus is a
brilliantly designed “green” building. While the building’s focus is largely technical, great
care was taken to provide an inviting natural environment indoors and
out. The resulting spaces are described as extraordinary and according
to those on campus, “This building is a place where you want to be.”
Surrounding this new building are environmentally friendly Pacifica
benches and Universal litter and recycling receptacles from
Forms+Surfaces. The Ipé wood used for the Pacifica bench slats is
derived from forests that are managed for long-term sustainability.
The metals we use in manufacturing have more than 80% recycled content
and all color finishes are low-VOC powdercoat. And although our site
furniture is fully recyclable, we like to think that products this
beautiful, user-friendly and easy to maintain are ones that will
remain in place for a long, long time.
