The University of Akron’s New Landscape
for Learning campus enhancement program includes four new buildings
along with a host of improved student services and amenities.
Forms+Surfaces products provided beautiful design and superior
functionality throughout this ambitious project.
Dubbed “Quick Zip Kiosks” by the University, our Profile One™ Information
Kiosk
was used to create compact two-sided access terminals for placement across
the campus. Here students can access the Internet, e-mail, class
schedules and other online resources. Highly adaptable, Profile One’s
track mounting system made it easy to configure split units with one
side adjusted to a suitable height for students using wheelchairs.
Forms+Surfaces also fabricated the superb custom Stainless Steel
railing installed in the new Student Union. Rounding out the project,
CabForms® elevator interiors, Universal litter receptacles and Architectural
Metal corner guards were supplied in matching Random finish Stainless
Steel for maximum resistance to wear.
