Forms+Surfaces’ Profile One™ Information
Kiosks provided a dramatic enhancement in functionality and aesthetics
for the University of Cincinnati’s Walter C. Langsam Library. Prior to
this upgrade, students accessed the library database sitting at a
collection of large computer tables that impeded traffic flow inside
the facility and cluttered the space with unsightly exposed cabling.
With its small footprint and internal wireways, Profile One™ allowed
the library to add more stations and to create an open, uncluttered,
aesthetically pleasing environment that helps students access
information quickly and efficiently. Profile One’s adjustable track
mounting system made it easy to provide a mix of standing height and
ADA height work surfaces to accommodate students using wheelchairs.
Highly versatile, Profile One™ masts were also used to create a
directory system that shares the Information Kiosk’s design elements.
