Carmel & Clay Center Elementary Schools

Project Overview

Carmel, Indiana, has an outstanding public school system. In a recent assessment of their facilities, they had a two-fold goal: come up with a way to address their aging elementary schools and accommodate projected enrollments. The results led to replacing their oldest elementary school on the same site and building a new school in a separate part of town—an approach that helped them retain the best of what was already in place while creating innovative learning environments that would carry students, teachers and families into the future. Across the two campuses, a coordinated mix of F+S products echoes the coordinated blend of learning and fun the new schools provide.
