United Club Fly, Denver International Airport

Project Overview

United Club Fly is the first "Grab & Go" concept released in the United Club portfolio and is (so far) exclusive to Denver International Airport. Designed for speedy service, United Club Fly is all about elevated convenience. The format makes it easy for United Club members to grab a snack or a quick drink without sacrificing an upscale club environment. The lounge also brings a slice of the Colorado experience into the airport: with its mountain peak motif and angled lodge-like beams, travelers can enjoy the local beauty even when connections are tight.

F+S was selected for the project because the design team at Gensler Newport Beach knew that customization and proper registration of the gradient in the glass was key to the project’s success; across varying panel heights and shapes, the gradient needed to be seamless. Also, given that this is essentially a standalone building built within the airport, with no structural tie to the ceiling, they knew they could rely on F+S for engineering assistance to ensure the structural integrity of the glass to avoid flexing or shifting from side to side.
