The Village

Nestled along the banks of the Menomonee River, The Village is a walkable urban community located 15 minutes west of Milwaukee, in the heart of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The neighborhood blends historic buildings, new development, and winding streets that add a European vibe.

With its mix of urban amenities, The Village is a welcoming open-air destination for locals and visitors to gather, dine and play. Attractions include shops, galleries and restaurants, patios for outdoor dining, revitalized green spaces and parks, a farmer’s market during warmer months, street festivals, concerts, and other cultural events.

Saiki Design worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team to craft an elegant, modern update that celebrates The Village’s historic character. Among their key priorities: selecting high-quality materials that align with local architectural and natural elements; and incorporating design enhancements that address pedestrian safety and vehicle access.
