University Health System - University Hospital

A historic Capital Improvement Program for University Health System in San Antonio, TX, added over a million square feet to University Hospital and created one of the largest construction projects in San Antonio history. The new patient Skytower, designed by Perkins & Will, with local partner RVK Architects, incorporates functional artwork throughout to create a healing environment.

Forms+Surfaces was delighted to have a wide range of products featured in this beautiful space, including the massive two-story ViviSpectra Spectrum glass curtain wall that overlooks the main lobby, ViviSpectra glass panels in the Emergency Room Waiting Area, and LightPlane panels in the elevator bays – all using custom artwork. Twenty-two custom LEVELe Elevator Interiors with ViviGraphix Graphica glass and stainless steel also enhance the new tower.
